Creating a Document from the Portal Page

  1. From the SmartSolve Portal Page, click the Home tab at the top of the window.
  2. In the Document Management section of the list, select Create Document.
  3. Zoom to select the document type and click Next.
  1. Enter information in the following fields:
Field Description

Type

Displays the selected document type.

Title

Enter a title or name for the document.

Organization Unit

Zoom to select an organization unit to which to tie the document. For additional information on configuration, see Organization Unit.

Process

Zoom to select a business/manufacturing process to which to tie the document. For additional information on configuration, see Process.

Product

Zoom to select a product to which to tie the document. For additional information on configuration, see Product.

Plant Area

Zoom to select a plant area to which to attach the document. For additional information on configuration, see Plant Area.

Comment

Enter any additional comments about the document.

Change Order No.

Click the drop down button and select the change order. This field is only visible if the application option UseChangeOrderToManageDocumentChanges is set to YES.

Change Type

Click the drop down button and select the change type. This field is only visible if the application option UseChangeOrderToManageDocumentChanges is set to YES.

Change Plan

Click the drop down arrow and select a change plan that has at least one action plan pending for the new document to be created. This field is only visible if the application option UseChangeOrderToManageDocumentChanges is set to NO and if Change Management is integrated with Document Management.

Action Plan

If a change plan was selected, click the drop down arrow and select an action plan that is pending for the new document to be created under that change plan. This field is only visible if the application option UseChangeOrderToManageDocumentChanges is set to NO and if Change Management is integrated with Document Management.

  1. Click the Save button.
    Result: The document has been added.
